Job Description

The successful candidate will work from the London office and assist in all aspects of corporate simplification assignments. This can include and extend to project management on a global scale, or portfolio management of a caseload of solvent liquidations.

On a day to day basis the role will involve actively managing a large portfolio of cases and building on existing client relationships. There is the opportunity to become involved with marketing and develop further opportunities with the assistance of senior staff.

The Corporate Simplification team operates within a heavily regulated environment therefore it is crucial candidates are able to work in a thorough, timely manner to ensure their portfolio cases are compliant with the firm’s protocols and statutory requirements.

As a key growth area of Business Recovery the opportunity would ideally suit a current, high performing Manager, with long term career goals at a global, leading firm. This could be someone already specialising within Corporate Simplification or, a more generalist Insolvency Manager who is happy to utilise their experience in this area and become more niche.

There is a market leading package on offer and excellent scope for progression.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • A qualified accountant
  • 15 months + in a corporate environment (exposure to Law, Accountancy and/or [in]solvency would be desirable)
  • Confident communicator and able to deal with people on all levels in a mature and capable manner
  • Fast learner with a desire to succeed
  • Clear logical thinker and process driven
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Flexible approach to work and understanding of operational necessities to get the job done
  • Experience of presenting to colleagues and clients on technical matters.

It is worth noting that this opportunity is rare as the Big 4 have not recruited within Insolvency for some time. Therefore any interested parties should either apply with a copy of their CV or, alternatively, call Harvey Sutton for an impartial, confidential conversation.
