Job Description

 We are proud to be working exclusively with this Public Sector organisation, having successfully recruited 4 key hires within the team.  

 

This is a rare and exciting role for a insolvency and restructuring professional to work outside of the practice arena. The role is suited to someone looking to make the move away from the traditional practice or workout banking field.  

 

Due to the nature of this role, there is no need for external business development or a fee following; making this attractive for high calibre candidates who might be blocked by the inevitable glass ceilings in large consulting firms or banks.

 

Due to the seniority of this role within the department, you will lead the team’s relationships with approximately 20 corporate providers on complex financial situations, reviewing sustainability and escalating procedures where necessary. You will be an experienced team leader with over 12 years’ experience in banking or restructuring with recent experience of chairing risk assessment meetings, together with evaluating and executing appropriate actions.

 

Individuals with complex workout and restructuring skills are preferred as well as the experience of stakeholder management and recent exposure to Board level executives. Interpreting correlations between quality and finance indicators and their impact on business failure risk will play a significant part in the role. An understanding of UK insolvency procedures and the healthcare sector are highly attractive skills.

 

Suitable candidates must be qualified accountants. JIEB would be highly advantageous but is not essential. The ability to demonstrate a proven track record in financial restructuring, leadership, strategic planning and portfolio management are required. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate credibility and professionalism as this role is a prominent position and will attract public interest.
