Job Description

The purpose of this role is to provide technical and administrative support to the business restructuring staff undertaking both advisory and formal work while developing relevant technical and accounting knowledge. This role will be responsible for managing their own work loads and tasks but will ultimately report and support one of the senior team members, and/ or a partner.

General Responsibilities;

  • Manage the clients view of procedures, handled by the firm
  • Creation and maintenance of the filing for all case and project work
  • Assisting with meetings for clients / external parties - including taking minutes
  • General administrative duties, such as filing, copying and proof reading
  • Research and develop information on, and for clients
  • Assist with budget and time monitoring of the team for the current projects
  • Assist with the marketing and business development of the team’s services
  • Develop a clear knowledge of the industry and business operations within the sector for marketing and business development opportunities

Formal and Advisory responsibilities;

  • Drafting letters of engagements to support managers
  • Review financial documentation provided by the client
  • Develop an understanding of the financial position of the client as best to offer support and advice to the managers
  • Create reports, tables and data analysis of research informative to best facilitate the project
  • Provide caseloads for small business restructurings that are compliant with statutory and regulatory internal procedures
  • Manages all case diary procedures on IPS
  • Maintenance of case database ad fling on IPS, providing support to managers when needed
  • Completion of cashier’s instructions for review by senior management
  • Develop well rounded knowledge of project procedures, including risk management, tax regulations, financial data analysis and insolvency services
  • Provide general administrative support to manager and senior team members throughout a project

Key Requirements:

  • Degree educated (2:2 and above), relevant degree preferred although not necessary
  • Good A Level results, 3 A*-C grades
  • Strong work ethics, and team player
  • Desire to complete professional accounting qualification - ACA, CPI, ACCA
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 pa
