Job Description

This is a exciting, pivotal time in the history of their firm as they have recently opened a London Office. They have already recruited some highly-skilled, high profile staff in London and are in an aggressive stage of growth. This would ideally suit you if you feel you are in need of a new challenge and feel progression is limited or unlikely at your current firm.

The firm work alongside some of the most reputable and buoyant Restructuring boutiques in the market, which will mean you will be working on some of the most interesting work in the market.


Their team acts for businesses, individuals, insolvency office-holders, regulators and other organisations. They advise on a broad range of issues including:

  •  Restructuring of solvent / insolvent companies
  • Pre-formal insolvency advice and planning
  • Advice on directors’ duties and liabilities in relation to distressed or insolvent companies
  • Formal insolvencies, including administrations, liquidations and bankruptcies
  • Security reviews on existing or proposed loans
  • Strategic acquisitions of insolvent businesses and assets from insolvency practitioners
  • Advising on distressed situations such as difficult trading conditions (include directors' advice), winding-up orders and confiscating property or assets;
  • Formulating effective exit strategies for owners and investors; preparing securities documentation; undertaking fraud investigations and pursuing and/or defending actions against directors;
  • Handling complex and challenging Pension Regulation when insolvency looms; Members of our Insolvency & Restructuring team have also worked in-house at the Pensions Regulator.
  • Litigation and recovery actions
  • Asset tracing
  • Directors’ disqualification proceedings
  • LPA Receiverships, and
  • Cross-border insolvency and COMI issues


The ideal candidate for the role will have/be:


-         3-6 years PQE however, this is not an absolute must. The firm will be led by personality and capability.

-         Technically exceptionally strong, with experience of a wide variety of Insolvency and Restructuring matters.

-         Trained with a recognised, reputable firm

-         Client facing experience and/or a desire to engage in networking to help maintain/further the firm’s client base. 


You should have experience acting for some or all of the following:

  • Asset based lenders (ABLs)
  • Banks
  • Companies
  • Creditors
  • Directors
  • Employees
  • Individuals
  • Insolvency Practitioners
  • Investors
  • Invoice discounters and factors
  • Partnerships
  • Shareholders
  • Solicitors
  • Trade Debt funders

Membership of the Insolvency Practitioners Association is preferred but not essential.
